Highway 11 reopens near Geraldton, Ont.

Highway 11 east of Thunder Bay is now open after being closed around middayon Thursdaydue to acollision.

Police said three transport trucks collided on Highway 11 atKeungRoad, 20 kilometres west ofGeraldton.

A detour wasin place for small vehicles, but not tractor-trailers.

OPP had also closed Highway 11/17 Thursday morning after a collision between a transport and car near Bible Camp Road in Dorion.

And earlier in the day, OPP had Highway 11 down to one lane near Beardmore, after a transport blocked the highway.

All major highways in the northwest were open as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday, with traffic being escorted around the clean-up site of a train derailment east of Nipigon.
