James Street swing bridge discussion postponed again

Thunder Bay city hall has again postponed a discussion about the latest proposal from CN Rail for reopening the James Street swing bridge.

Thunder Bay City Hall has once again postponed a discussion on CN Rail's proposal forreopening of the James Street swing bridge.

City council was scheduled to receive a report and recommendations from city staffat the council meeting Monday night.

Late Monday afternoon the city issued a news release saying the briefing would take place next week, on Monday, Feb. 9.

The statement explained that "The City of Thunder Bay received final pieces of outstanding information requested [from CN] this past Friday afternoon. To give Council appropriate time to review the information, the report has been rescheduled."

This is the third time since early January that discussion of the CN offer has been postponed.
