Volunteers rally to find Kenora missing teen Delaine Copenace

OPP saythe search for a missing teen in Kenora continues today as police appeal to the public for information.

16 year old Delaine Copenace was last seen in downtown Kenora on Saturday evening according to police.

An OPP spokesperson saidfamily and friends have been putting up flyers and taking part in the search for the teenaged girl andextra police resources have been brought in for the search, including the K-9 unit.

A Facebook page called "Help Us Find Delaine Copenace" saidJubilee Church has opened itsdoors for people who want to come search, and theyhave posters and maps available.

Searchers are being asked to dress warmly and to search in groups of two or more.

The group is also asking for donations of food, flashlights and reflective tape orbands to help the volunteers.

Police said16-year-old Delaine Copenace was reported missing on Sunday and she was reportedlylast seen in downtown Kenora on Saturday evening.

"Her family is concerned as they haven't seen her for a few days,"OPP Constable LaurieHarkofsaid.

Harkof saidCopenace's mother has been putting up flyers and posting on Facebook, hoping that somebody knows where her daughter is.

Police have also brought in extra resources, including the K-9 unit, to look for her, as well asthe Emergency Response Team to help with the investigation.

Harkof saidthey are searching in areas surrounding the place where she was last seen.

Delaine Copenace is described as havinga larger build, withbrown eyes and long black hair.

She was last seen wearingblack Etnie skater-type shoes, a black zippered sweater, a "bullet for my valentine" T-shirt and black jeans with zippered pockets.
