The new trailers are part of an effort to increase roofed accommodationin the parks, she said.

Currently, Quetico Provincial Park also offersyurts, and Sleeping Giant has cabins.

Until now, the cabins have only been open in the winter, butCraig said this year, they're open year-round.

It's too early to say how popular the new trailers will be, she added, but she anticipates they will be indemand.

Ontario Parks will review the bookings at the end of the season and consider expanding the program if the numbers justify it, she said.

"As time goes by, we hope to install more roofed accommodation across the province and that would include northwestern Ontario."

The trailer-equipped sites rent for$86 pernight, plus taxes.
