A jury found Andre Wareham not guilty this morning.

The Thunder Bay man was charged with second degree murder in the death of his neighbour in a Thunder Bay apartment building three years ago.

The jury decidedhe was not guilty on the murder charge and he was also cleared of the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Wareham said he's relieved it's all over, he told CBC News reporter Jeff Walters.

He said it has been a tough three years since he was first arrested after William Atkins was stabbed.

Wareham said nobody's a winner in this case, as both he and the Atkins family havebeen through a lot.

Defence Counsel Steven Hinkson said jury selection was a long process, as he and the Crown went through great lengths to ensure an impartial jury.

Wareham said now that he's a free man, he's going to leave Thunder Bay. He didn't say where he was going.
