Thunder Bay police say man found dead in McIntyre River

Thunder Bay police are conducting an investigation after a dead man was found this morning in theMcIntyre River.

Authorities are near Carrick Street and Russell Street, where the investigation is ongoing.

Thunder Bay Police Service spokesman Chris Adams says the coroner has joined police at the scene.

"A body was discovered early this morning, just before before 9:30, and it appears to be an adult malewho is deceased," Adams said.

Police say they don't yet know the man's identity, or the cause of death.
