Thunder Bay lawyer faces new sexual assault charges

A long-serving lawyer in Thunder Bay faces four new counts of sexual assault.

Alexander (Sandy) Zaitzeffagreed to the charges on Friday, without having the details read inopen court.

The charges are in addition to a number of other offences, including five counts of assault, two counts of sexual assault and one count each of mischief, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference and breach of recognizance.

Zaitzeffis currently in custody in the Thunder Bay District Jail. He was denied bail on the previous charges on December 7.

His next court appearance is scheduled for January 6.
