A Brampton hockey coach has been charged with sexual exploitation and child luring, according to Peel Regional Police.

In a news release on Wednesday, police said the man, 26, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual exploitation and two counts of child luring following an investigation.

Police said they were told on April 16that two young people who played hockey in a local leaguewere allegedly sexually exploited and lured in interactions with their coach. Police said the league was associated with the City of Brampton.

The man appeared in court in Brampton for a bail hearing and has been released with conditions, police said.

No other details are being released to protect the identity of the alleged victims.
