Death of 65-year-old man in Brampton deemed suspicious: police

The death of a 65-year-old man in Brampton on Wednesday is considered suspicious, Peel police say.

Peel police say they consider the death of a 65-year-old man in Brampton on Wednesday to be suspicious.

Policesaid the man was found dead in a homein the area ofDixie Road and Howden Boulevard. Officers were called to the home at about 5:40 p.m. for a medical call.

Const.Moulika Sharma says a personat the home was placed in custodybut has since been released.

Peel homicide detectives are overseeing the investigation but the death is not yet being deemed a homicide. Detectives are canvassing the area for evidence, she said.

Paramedics said one person at the scene was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
