Conservative Leader Stephen Harper seems like the latest to jump on the ever-growing Toronto Blue Jays bandwagon. He was spotted at the team's practice Monday evening.

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper seems like the latest to jump on the ever-growing Toronto Blue Jays bandwagon.

Harper was greeted at the Rogers CentreMonday by Blue Jays great, Roberto Alomar, before attending the team's practice. He was also greeted bya little league team from White Rock, B.C.the winners of the Canadian Little League Championship.

Alomar introduced Harper to his brother Sandy Alomar Jr., who is the first base coach for the Cleveland Indians, the teamplaying theJays tonight.

Harperwas on the field during some of the team's batting practice.He also met some of the team, and talked with the team's general manager John Gibbons, and Buck Martinez, the Jays' play-by-play announcer.

His attendance, during the federal election campaign, comes at a time when the Jays are leading in the American League East standings. The team hasn't had a winning streak this strong since theywon the World Series in 1992 and 1993.

Harper was accompanied by his wife, Laureen, and son, Ben. They are scheduled to stay and watch the game.
