Driver sought after pedestrian killed in Scarborough

Toronto police are on the scene of a hit and run collision that left a pedestrian dead in Scarborough.

Woman in her 20s struck and killed near intersection of Finch and Neilson

Toronto police are on the scene of a hit and run collision that left a pedestrian dead in Scarborough.

Police said a woman in her 20s was struck by a car just before 6 p.m. near the intersection of Finch Ave. E. and Neilson Rd.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said the driver that collided with the woman did not remain on scene. Investigators are now at the site trying to piece together exactly what happened.

Nearby roads are closed at this time, and public transit in the area is being diverted.

The victims identity has not been released.
