Driver dies after crash near Orangeville, Ont.

A driver is dead after two vehicles collided east of Orangeville, Ont., on Tuesday, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

A driver is dead after two vehicles collided east of Orangeville, Ont., on Tuesday, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

The collision happened on Highway 9, between The Gore Road andCentreville Creek Road. Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 6 p.m.

Police said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin is being notified.

There's no word on the driver's age or sex or the cause of the collision.

Highway 9 was closed on Tuesday night between Airport Road and Concession Road 3 as officers continued to investigate.
