Man, 68, dead after crash in North York, police say

The two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the area of Don Mills Road and Havenbrook Boulevard.

A 68-year-old man has died after a collision in North York on Sunday evening, Toronto police say.

The two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the intersection of Don Mills Road and Havenbrook Boulevard.

The man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said in a news release Monday morning.

According to police, the man was northbound on Don Mills in a Ford SUV when he tried to turn left onto Havenbrook.

At the same time, a 20-year-old man behind the wheel of a BMW sedan was southbound on Don Mills. The two drivers collided in the intersection, police said.

The circumstances of the fatal crash are still under investigation.

Police are appealing for any drivers, residents or business owners in the area who may have dashcam or security video useful to investigators to come forward.
