Toronto police seek public feedback on officers wearing body cameras

Toronto police are looking for feedback from members of the public who have had contact with officers wearing bodycameras.

Approximately 100 frontline officers have been wearing the cameras while performing regular duties since May as part of a pilot project that runs until March of next year.

Police say feedback from the communitywill provide a valuable perspectiveon the project.

Police will mail out survey packages between October and Marchto randomly-selected peoplewho have had contact with an officer wearing a body camera. The package will include a one-page survey along with a business-reply envelope.

"The feedback received through these surveys will greatly assist the Service with the evaluation process," say police.
