Rob Ford's death doesn't stop family's annual 'Ford Fest' in Toronto

Ford Festserved up burgers and drinks on Friday evening in Etobicoke, but for the first time the party was missing Rob Ford.

The annual summer gathering of Ford supporters, who often call themselves "Ford Nation," marked the first time the family has hosted a major event since the celebration of the late politician's life.

Ford, the former mayor of Toronto who died of cancer in March, was honoured with t-shirtskind words. His widow, Renata, thanked and greeted supporters.

Doug Ford, who helped former city councillor Raymond Cho capture arecent provincial byelection in Scarborough, shook hands with many in the line.

Ford said his supporters are split "50/50" on whether they want him to run again for mayor of Toronto, or run for a position at Queen's Park.

Hundreds attended the annual party, which was held at the home of Diane Ford.

Michael Ford, who was elected to fill Rob Ford's vacant city council seat in Etobicoke, also attended the party.
