Fort McMurray bride whose dress burned in wildfire gets married in Toronto

Fort McMurray bride lise Boissonneault was all set to be married in Toronto this weekend when a wildfire on the outskirts of the Alberta town engulfed it along with her wedding dress.

'Multiple people stopped her ... they recognized her and were so happy for her'

FortMcMurraybrideliseBoissonneaultwas all set to be married in Toronto this weekend when a wildfire on the outskirts of the Alberta town engulfed it along with her wedding dress.

On Saturday, Boissonneault and herpartner,Brandon, had the wedding they had planned at the RectoryCafon the Toronto Islands.

Boissonneaultmade headlines earlier this week when 100 wedding dresses were offered to her fromTorontoniansacross the city who wanted to help make the bride's wedding dream a reality.

The offers of dresses,along with offers forhair stylingand jewelry, came afterBoissonneault'sfriend took toFacebookhoping to track down a gown to match the one she lost in the fire.

After narrowly missing the devastation back at home, photographer AlexNearysaid the couple are enjoying newlywed bliss.

"Everyone cheered for her when she got off the ferry and multiple people stopped her on the island because they recognized her and were so happy for her,"Nearysaid via email.
