Jian Ghomeshi trial: Crown, defence to deliver final arguments Thursday

The prosecution rested its case in the Jian Ghomeshi trial this morning, with the defence team not calling any witnesses or presenting any evidence, before both sides begin closing arguments Thursday.

The prosecution rested its case in the Jian Ghomeshi trial this morning, with the defence team not presenting any evidence or witnesses before both sides begin closing arguments Thursday.

The three complainants will be allowed to attend those summations before Judge William Horkins in the Ontario Court of Justice.

The former CBC Radio host pleaded not guilty tofour counts of sexual assault and one count of overcoming resistance by choking,all of which are connected to incidents alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2003.

Court resumes Thursday at 10 a.m. at Toronto's Old City Hall courthouse.
