The very big wedding will take place on June 26. The ceremony will be multi-faith andtranslated into multiple languages.

A video has been posted on YouTube featuring Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly and Coun. Kristyn Wong-Tam, in which they explain the event and offer an invitation to LGBTQ couples looking to get hitched.

"Tents, flowers, music, photographers, audio-visual systems, all for free," Wong-Tam says in the video, which can be viewed below.

"Up to 200 LGBT2Q couples are welcome to register to take part in [the] most elegant and grand Pride wedding in history."

Couples who want to take part in the mass wedding are being asked to register online.

Participating couples will have to pay for their marriage licences, however, as it is a fee that cannot be waived.
