Toronto police say they are still searching for a suspect in the murders of two women in Mississauga.

Earlier on Thursday, Peel police said the suspect, 33-year-old Joseph Ayala, of Toronto, may be in the area of Dixie Road and Lakeshore Road in southeast Mississauga, Ont.

But Toronto police said they attended the location and the person was not the suspect.

"At this time we do not know his whereabouts," police said in an email on Thursday.

Ayala is wanted for second-degree murder after an 82-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman were found dead in anEtobicokehome on Aug. 23.

Police were called there for a well-being check.

The suspect and the women were related, police say.

Ayala is described as five-foot-11 with a shaved head, and he was wearing all black clothing.
