Disgraced former radio host Jian Ghomeshiappeared once again in court Friday after pleading not guilty to all charges against him the previous day.

The former host of CBC Radio's cultural affairs show q isfacing five charges, including four counts of sexual assault and onecount of overcoming resistance by choking.

The 48-year-old did not take questions as he entered and left the downtown Toronto courthouse. Reporters were not allowed in the courtroom.Histrial begins Feb. 1, 2016, and will beby judge only.

Ghomeshiwas originally charged with seven counts of sexualassault and one count of overcoming resistance by choking. TheCrown withdrew two sexual assault charges in May because they saidthere was no reasonable prospect of conviction.

Heis also facing one charge of sexual assault that is beingtried separately.

The one-time radio star has admitted to engaging in rough sex, butsaid it was consensual.The alleged assaults hewas originally charged with occurredbetween 2002 and 2008.

Ghomeshi's$100,000 bail conditions require him to remain inOntario and live with his mother.If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
