2 dead after shooting in Keswick park: York Regional Police

Police said the fatal shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and posted on X, formerly Twitter, that it's an "isolated incident" that poses no threat to the public.

York Regional Police (YRP) say two people are dead after a shooting in Bayview Park in Keswick, Ont.

Police said the fatal shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and posted on X, formerly Twitter, that it's an "isolated incident" that poses no threat to the public.

There's still a large police presence in the area where the two adults were located with gunshot wounds and YRP is asking people to avoid the area.

At this time,no information about the victims has been released. Police are asking anyone who was in the area this morning or may have seen or heard anything connected to the shooting to contact them.

Keswick is just over 50 kilometres north of Toronto. Bayview Park is a small park sandwiched between two subdivisions.
