Downtown stabbing sends 1 to hospital

A stabbing in the downtown core has sent one person to hospital.

Police from 14 Division were called to the area of King St. West and Spadina Avenue at around 4 a.m. The victim was found with serious injuries and rushed to hospital.

King Street was closed between Spadina and Brant Street for about an hourfor the investigation.

Police said on Sunday afternoon the victim was recovering from surgery. The investigation is ongoing.
