Toronto weather: Friday Sept. 2 and Labour Day long weekend

Friday is off to a cool start, with wind from the north bringing a distinctly fall feel to the city. But the weather will warm up as the long weekend goes on.

Expect evening lows from 12 to 14 C.

A sunny but cooler Labour Day long weekend is on the way.

As of 6 a.m. it's 14 C in the city, with a northerly wind bringing a distinctly fall feeling to the downtown core. Environment Canada said Friday will reach a high of 23 C under sunny skies.

The weekend will actually warm up from there.

Saturday's high will be 24, Sunday will reach 25 and the holiday Monday will be 26.

There will, however, be some cooler evening weather. Expect evening lows from 12 to 14 C.

Maybe it's time to break out those sweaters.
