Man airlifted to Toronto hospital after snowmobile crash

A 56-year-old man was airlifted to a Toronto hospital after his snowmobile struck a large rock in Tiny Township on Sunday morning.

A 56-year-old man was airlifted to a Toronto hospital after his snowmobile struck a large rock in Tiny Township on Sunday morning.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to the scene of the crash in Tiny Township, about two hours north of Toronto, at 10:30 a.m.

The man was ejected from his snowmobile in the crash and police found him lying on the ice, just off shore at Michaud Point.

Police say the man suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

He was airlifted to Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, police say.

The crash remains under investigation.
