Man shot by Toronto police

A man reported to be in his 20s has been shot by a Toronto police officer.

The shooting happened near Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East on Sunday afternoon.

The victims appears to have been shot after he got off a TTC bus.

An altercation on the bus might have been the reason policewere called, according to some reports.

The man has been taken to Toronto's Sunnybrook Hospital, police said. His condition is reported to be very serious.
