Woman has life-threatening injuries after being struck by SUV

A 33-year-old woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV on Eglinton Avenue East, just east of the Don Valley Parkway, late Thursday night.

A 33-year-old womanis in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV on Eglinton Avenue East, just east of the Don Valley Parkway, late Thursday night.

The incident occurred at Eglinton and Swift Drive shortly after11 p.m., according to Toronto police. The womanwas struck by a Subaru Forester travellingwest along Eglintonwhile she was trying to crossthe road at Swift Drive.

She was rushed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Eglintonwas closed in both directions at Bermondsey Road through the night, but reopened shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday.
