Man injured in Scarborough stabbing

An early morning stabbing sent one manto hospital on Sunday.

Police said this morning they were investigating a shooting near St. Clair Avenue East and Birchmount Road after a reportofgunfire at about 5 a.m.

They found a man suffering superficial stab wounds and took anotherperson into custody.

The victim wastaken to hospital and has since been released,according to police at 41 Division.

Police say they also found a shell casing, and are continuing to investigate the possibility of a shooting.
