Toronto's Lake Shore Blvd. reopens after debris falls

Two westbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard East in downtown Toronto have reopened after pieces of an overpass fell onto the roadway.

Two westbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard East in downtown Toronto have reopenedafter pieces of an overpass fell onto the roadway.

The fallingdebris from theGardiner Expressway overpassnear Lower Jarvis Street was reported at around 3 p.m. ET, said Toronto police Const. Wendy Drummond.

Police were at the scene shortly after the debris was reported. There were no injuries, and no one reporteddamage to any vehicles.

The City of Toronto sent out a news release just before 8 p.m. indicating that the westbound lanes had reopened.
