Friends, family remember slain Toronto teen

About 700 people turned out Thursday to say goodbye to a 15-year-old boy shot dead in Toronto two weeks ago,

Tyson Bailey was shot numerous times in the stairwell of an apartment building in the city's Regent Park neighbourhood in the middle of the afternoon on January 18.

Police say the boy was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At his funeral at Toronto Central Adventist Church his family remembered a beloved child. His friends remembered a talented football player who was a student at Central Tech.

His football coach, Norm Davis, spoke for many when he said he couldn't believe "now he's gone."

Police are still looking for suspects in Bailey's slaying.

At the funeral Pastor Andrew King called on anyone with information to come forward.

"Whatever circumstances led to the demise of this young man, whoever knows whatever they need to know, they need to come forward and lay that to rest," he said.
