Superwoman's A Trip to Unicorn Island chronicling first world tour makes Canadian debut

She's on the March cover of Elle, she recently made Forbes 30 under 30 and now Lilly Singh, better known as YouTube's Superwoman, is debuting her new documentary chronicling her first-ever world tour.

Not too shabby.

A Trip to Unicorn Island, a nodto what the Toronto-born online sensationaffectionately calls her over 7 million YouTubefollowers, made its Canadian premiere Tuesday night.

She told CBC News her 30-city world tour was an eye-opening experience.

"Mid-way through the tour, I learned that protecting your vision, your creative baby does not make you a bad person," Singh said. "I learned the business side of things and how to be a boss during the tour."

She credited family and friends for keeping her grounded, adding that "you need a really solid foundation of friends and family to keep you where you need to be."

She also gave a shoutout to Scarborough, where she originally grew up.

"I will forever and always identify with Scarborough no matter where I move."

Singh had a premiere in Los Angeles last week.
