Teenager in life-threatening condition after he was shot in Rexdale
Police are still searching for suspect vehicle
A teenage boy hit by gunfire in a drive-by shooting in Rexdaleappears to be in life-threatening condition, Toronto police report.
He has been taken to hospital by paramedics on what's known as an emergency run, a call used in only the most urgent cases.
Officers are searching for a black vehicle seen driving away from Jamestown Crescent and John Garland Boulevard. That's where police found the victim around 7:55 p.m.
It marks the second shooting of a teenage boy in the city Monday. Another was shot outside YorkgateMall in the Jane and Finch neighbourhood in the afternoon.
