Two men charged after allegedly forcing a woman into the sex trade

Toronto police say two men are facing charges after allegedly forcing a woman into the sex trade.

Men facing 21 charges, including human trafficking and assault causing bodily harm, police say

Toronto police say two men are facing charges after allegedly forcing a woman into the sex trade.

Police allege a man used a noxious substance to render a 22-year-old woman unconscious and then coerced her into the sex trade.

They say he tattooed her body with his nickname, "Sosa," to let people know that she was his property.

Police say he and another man "teamed up" and advertised her services online, arranging for her to go out and provide sexual services to clients.

They allege that she was assaulted, causing serious injuries, and drugged to keep her awake so she could work.

Investigators say they arrested two men who are facing a total of 21 charges that include human trafficking and assault causing bodily harm.

Both were scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
