Toronto police say the crash happened around 4:20 a.m. at the corner of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening. As CBCs Clara Pasieka explains, the driver of the pickup truck has been arrested.

Eight people were hurt when a pickup truck collided with a TTC bus in North York early Thursday, Toronto police say.

The crash happened around 4:20 a.m. at the corner of Yonge Street and Finch Avenue.

The extent of the injuries vary in degree, police said, but none are considered life-threatening. The TTC bus driver was among those hurt.

A male who was behind the wheel of the pickup truck was arrested,according to police. There is no word on what charges he may face.

Finch is closed in both directions at Yonge for the police investigation.
