If you need a furry pick-me-up at work this Thursday, Uber has you covered.

The ride-hailingservice has partnered with local cat rescues and shelters to bring kittens to offices across Toronto.

All you have to do is request themon the Uber app between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. the same way yourequesta ride.

The kitten cuddle service will help support theAnnex Cat Rescue,Just Paws Cat Rescue,Team Cat Rescueand theEtobicokeHumane Society.

A shelter or rescue employee will helpwith each of the kitten deliveries, so those helpers will let you know how you can adopt a cat.

It will cost you $30 for 15 minutes of playtime with the cats, and if you end up smitten with a kitten, all of themare available for adoption.

The movefollows a long periodof bumpy relations between the ride-hailing service, the City of Toronto andthe local taxi industry, culminating in the city taking Uber to court.

Earlier this year,a judge ruled Uber is not operating as a taxi brokerage and is not bound by the city's taxi regulations. The service does not dispatch drivers over phone lines language that is specifically used inToronto's taxi bylaws.

Last month,Toronto city council voted to ask city staff to developnew rules to accommodateUber in its taxi and limousine bylaws.
