2 arrested after stolen vehicle, unmarked police car crash: Toronto police

Two people have been arrested after a collision involving an unmarked police car and a stolen vehicle in north Scarborough Monday, Toronto police say.

Police say the collision occurred in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Craighton Drive in north Scarborough

Two people have been arrested after a collision involving an unmarked police car and a stolen vehicle in north Scarborough Monday, Toronto police say.

In a post to X, formerly Twitter, Toronto Police said the collision happened around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Victoria Park Avenue and Craighton Drive.

One officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, police say.

Police say two suspects have been arrested. One is an adult and the other is a youth, Shannon Eames, a media relations officer for Toronto Police, said in an email.

Eamesdidn't provide any more information about the suspects or what led to the crash. She did sayofficers weren't pursuing the stolen vehicle, though they were investigating it.

Craighton Drive was closed following the crash. Police are asking drivers in the area to use alternate routes.
