A young girl was struck by a vehicle after stepping off a streetcar Friday inRegent Park.

Toronto police say they received a call at 12:24 p.m. for a pedestrian hitnear Dundas Street East and Parliament Street.

According to police, the girl is believed to be 12 years old. Authorities add the girl wascompletely alert after being struckand the driver remained at the scene.

Paramedics say the victim hasseriousbut non-life threatening injuries.
