Windsor man charged with animal cruelty

The man was in his backyard on Cameron Avenue Wednesday afternoon yelling and swinging at his dog when a neighbour called police.

A Windsor man has been charged with animal cruelty after police say he was seen beating his pet with a metal object.

The man was in his backyard on Cameron Avenue Wednesday afternoon yelling and swinging at his dog when a neighbour called police.

The dog suffered some minor injuries and has been taken to a veterinarian.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal.
