Cheryl Hardcastle wins NDP Windsor-Tecumseh federal nomination

Cheryl Hardcastle will represent the NDP in the riding of Windsor-Tecumseh in the upcoming federal election.

Hardcastle won the majority of the 271 valid votes (276 registered).

It was a packed room at the Serbian Centre where the NDP nomination took place Thursday night.

Four candidates Cheryl Hardcastle, Bruce Moncur, Patrick Hannon and Sandra Gonzalez were seeking the NDP nomination in, which has been the riding of long-time MP Joe Comartin's riding.

Comartin announced he will not be running for reelection last June.
