Coyote captured in downtown Windsor

A young coyote was found hiding in the foyer of a downtown Windsor business.

Windsor Police received a call about the canine at 3 p.m. Sunday on Pitt Street.

The caller told police the coyote appeared to be frightened.

Police called the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society to attend the scene.

Officials captured the animal and sent it to WINGS Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for assessment.
