Cyclist hit by van at Wyandotte Street and Walker Road Monday afternoon

A woman was travelling southbound on Walker Road when she was hit by a van when she got to the WyandotteStreet intersection Monday afternoon.

Windsor police say she was sent to Windsor Regional Hospital withminor injuries.

The van appeared to have been turning left onto Walker Road from WyandotteStreet when the woman was struck.

There was some traffic backed up in the area and motorists got out of their cars to assist the woman as they waited for paramedics and police to arrive.

Windsor police and fire were on scene to investigate.
