Hundreds of words have been added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary and it might be easy for some to decipher but for others, not so much. CBC Windsor asked those in the region if they knew what these words meant.

Hundreds of new words have been added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, and while it might be easy for some to decipher them, for others not so much. CBC Windsor's Sonia Tumkur asked those in the region if they knew what some of these words mean.

From "bussin'" to "rizz," a number of new slang words havebeen added to the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Itmight be easy for some to decipher but for others, not so much.

CBC Windsor asked those in the region if they knew what these words meant.

Here are five out of 690 words that have been added into the dictionary and how Merriam-Webster defines them:

Bussin':adjective, African American English slang:extremely good:excellent;especially:delicious, tasty

Rizz: "When a person is charming or charismatic"

Mid: adjective, informal : "neither very good nor very bad : so-so, meh"

Chef's kiss: noun : "a gesture of satisfaction or approval made by kissing the fingertips of one hand and then spreading the fingers with an outward motion often used interjectionally."

Goated: adjective, slang : "considered to be the greatest of all time"
