Police investigating possible hate crime in south Windsor

Police say a vehicle parked in the 2300 block of Longfellow Avenue was severely damaged with scratches on the interior and exterior that contained anti-Arabic messages.

A possible hate crime is being investigated by Windsor police after vandals slashed upanSUV, scarring it with an offensive anti-Arabic message.

Police said a white Range Rover in the 2300 block of Longfellow Avenue was severely damaged with gouges and scratches to both theinterior and exterior.

The incident occurred in the early morning of Canada Day, some time between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m.
