Essex County teen pulled over going 100 km/h over speed limit

A teen in Leamington had their licence suspended Wednesday morning after provincial police say they clocked thedriver going more than 100 km/h over the limit.

A teen in Leamington had their licence suspended Wednesday morning after provincial police say they clocked thedriver going more than 100 km/h over the limit.

Police say they observed a vehicle traveling at 161 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone on Mersea Road 7.

A 17-year-old had their license suspend for 30 days and their vehicle impounded for 14 days.

"Remember, speed limits are in effect 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Give yourself extra time to arrive to your destination safely," police said in a statement.
