Ministry of Labour issues orders after man falls through Goodlife roof

The Ontario Ministry of Labour has issued five work orders after a man fell through the roof of a Goodlife Fitness in Windsor last week.

A Rauth Roofing employee fell through an opening in the flat roof down to the floor below.

Emergency services were contacted and the worker was transported to Hospital.

The incident happened Friday morning.

The ministry ordered RauthRoofing to:

• Install a floor cover.
• Install a section of guardrails.
• Secure the top and bottom of an access ladder.
• Install bump lines.
• Select a health and safety representative for the project.

The Ministry of Labour has returned to the project to continue the investigation.
