One person dead in seven-vehicle crash on Highway 3

One person died, while another was taken to hospital in serious condition in amajor multi-vehicle crash on Highway 3 Friday afternoon.

Seven vehicles, including a work truck and an RV camper, were involved in the incident.Three other people were taken to hospital withless serious injuries.

Police are investigating a crash that shut down Highway 3 late Friday afternoon.

A man on a motorcycle diedin the crash, according toan eye witness.EdTowe, who was involved in the pile up, said the motorcycle hit a transport trailer.

"His bike is everywhere, it's all over the place," he said.

Ed Towe was caught up in seven-vehicle collision.

Towetried to avoidcollidingwith a transport trailer. He veered his F150 pickup trucktoward the shoulder of the road, but thetransport "clipped" the edge of the trailer he was hauling.

It is not known when lanes will reopen, according to a tweet by OPP.
