Gordie Howe bridge work shuts down two west-end parks
The city suggests residents use nearby Ojibway Park and Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park.
Construction ofthe new Gordie Howe International Bridgeplaza in Windsor's west endwill temporarily shut down access to two neighbouring parks, according to a news release from the city.
Black Oak Heritage and Broadway parks, located near the Ambassador Golf Club, will be closed while crews do work on the newplaza. The dog park is also closed.
Construction will affect Broadway Boulevard, which is the only access to both parks.The duration of the workis unknown at this time.
The city news release suggests residents use nearby Ojibway Park and Tallgrass Prairie Heritage Park during construction. Anyone with a dog can visit Optimist and Remington parks.
