The Supreme Court of Canada says it will hand down a ruling Thursday on a case that's pitted the company that owns the Ambassador Bridge against the City of Windsor.

The company owns more than 100 properties near the bridge, where it hopes to build a new span in the future.

In the meantime, many of the properties are houses which have fallen into disrepair.

People living nearby have complained to the city about the blight.

So the city issued orders to repair them.

Owners of the Ambassador Bridge refused, claiming the city has no jurisdiction.

The Supreme Court says it will rule on that Thursday.
