Windsor's public transit provider has announced changes to nightly service as a result of renewed nightly closures of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel between June 23 to July 19, 2019.

Transit Windsor's last regularly scheduled bus to Detroit from the Windsor International Transit Terminal will depart at 8 p.m., while the last bus to Windsor from Detroit's Little Caesars Arena will depart at 8:34 p.m.

It's worth noting that Transit Windsor will use the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel to get to special events at night, but will use the Ambassador Bridge to return back.

Additionally, special event transit service will continue for 30 minutes after games and concerts end.

The tunnel will remain open on June 24 for the Windsor Riverfront Fireworks Party. The tunnel will also remain open between July 4 and July 6, for the U.S. Independence Day holiday.
