W.F. Herman name to live on at new super school

Th W.F. Herman name will live on within the Greater Essex County District School Board.

W.F. Herman Secondary School is amalgamating with Percy P. McCallum Public School in the fall.

The board decided Tuesday to name the school W.F. Herman Academy.

"Our school name is like our family name, it means something to us all," said Chassidy Theoret, who spoke at the school board meeting Tuesday night.

The board also decided to rename Gordon McGregor elementary school, Ford City Public School.
