Will Windsor be forgotten by Liberal majority government?

There's no more Liberal red on the political map of Windsor-Essex.

The Liberal MPP closest to Windsor is now up Highway 401 in London.

Windsor and Essex County are now represented by three NDP Members of Provincial Parliament.

The lone local Liberal - Teresa Piruzza - lost her seat during last week's election.

CBC Windsor's municipal affairs expert Cheryl Collier thinks local issues might now get tossed on the backburner of the majority Liberal government.

Collier said big-ticket items like the proposed mega-hospital and high-speed rail could now be at risk.

"Its probably not the best news because were missing a member sitting in the government and someone at the cabinet table. Its going to be much more difficult to get our voice heard," Collier said.
